The world was not built by Him.
It is not the existence he would have chosen for his followers, for this reality is one that resides in an extreme flux. It is antithetical, without a doubt. If He had made the world in his own designs, it would be perfect, without fault, and only His most loyal would survive. But now Our Lord deigns to claim beyond a shadow of a doubt what is destined to be His, and will finally purge this world of the weakness that consumes it.
These flesh creatures - so weak, are they not? They fear the spill of their life's blood more than anything, without a thought of what lies beyond. Their fear of blood in turn has created a fear of the flesh, and Our Lord, Most Ancient and Knowing, will punish them for it. The disloyal will live for an eternity, undying. But they will be haunted by it, for He has returned. And He in all his Godly and Righteous Fury, seeks retribution. This world will now be one of nightmares, of bleeding skies and twisted flesh.
He has come to bring His loyal into Eternal Paradise.
So thus the creatures have passed into it, tormented by this terrible, corrupt world. Their cries for release, for death, are heard about the land. However, some are mightier than the rest, and have risen up, refusing to bow to their baser instincts. These are the ones that populate the Earth as we know it, however imperfect it may be.
However, not all worship Him.
Some are resentful indeed, hating this existence and themselves even more, and refuse to acknowledge His efforts to restore a semblance of his design to the hell he has wrought. Those are the ones that will suffer.
All will suffer. He must destroy the world, incinerate it, and bury it all before it can be rebuilt in His name, as His paradise.
Ghastly abominations, horrifying visions, and even reality crumbling begin to signal His arrival. For he is merciful, but borne out of hatred indeed.
Drawn to fear like a parasite, he chooses to devour these creatures, trapped inside his antithetical reality.
