Name - Amenti Utam
Age- 3
Sex- Female
Species- Tiger (Panthera tigris )
Subspecies- Bengal Tiger (Panthera tigris tigris)
Preferred prey- ungulates (hoofed mammals)
Hunting style- stealth (approach from victim’s blind spot)
Schism- Nihil
Rank- n/a
Height- 3’11” at shoulder
Length- 9’
Tail length- 45 centimeters
Weight- 400lbs of muscle and heart
Maturity- Amenti has come of age and is ready to breed.
Appearance- Amenti does not have huge muscles: instead her muscle is very tone and tight. To touch her shoulder would be equivalent to feeling a warm, furry rock. No part of her is gangly but she is not bulging huge with muscle either. Instead, her tightly coiled muscle allots her an elegant and graceful bodice. Her fur is white with black stripes. Her ears are black with white spots in the center (as is characteristic of tigers). She has no scars or physical flaws of any kind. All of her senses are keen. Her tail is quite long. Whereas some might look at the lengthy appendage as a hindrance, she has learned to utilize it to her advantage. It gives her excellent balance and helps her maneuver through tight forests while running with ease. Her paw pads are black and rather soft, granting her the ability to lurk and sneak up on her prey in silence. Like most tigers, her leap is awe inspiriting. At will she can easily jump 13 feet into the air while standing still. While running her powerful hind legs have been known to propel her over a staggering distance of 16 feet. This lethal capability allows for little chance of her targeted prey escaping her. Her jaws are capable of tensing to 1,000lbs of pressure. Thus, after capture, killing her prey is no problem. Her black and ebony claws stay razor sharp in her paws until she wills them to extend. Her eyes are blood red, her sister use to tell her it was reflective of her blood-lusting soul.
Strengths
-excellent hunter: Only on a few, disappointing occasions has her game escaped her.
-endurance: contrary to the norm of felines, her endurance level is high. Though she retains her feline reflexes and quickness, she is also adept at running for long periods of time so long as her pace is unhurried and steady. Capable of covering vast amounts of land at an admirable speed; for a cat, that is.
-pronounced tracking skills. She is excellent at “reading trails”. This ability aids in safeguarding her hunting skills.
-excellent follower: this cat has no current desire to be a leader. Instead, she prefers taking orders from someone who she respects.
Faults
-inexperienced fighter: Amenti has never been in a life or death fight with another predator. Though her killing skills are very tuned, she has never had anything other than soon-to-be food fighting against her might. (This is surprising because she is known for ignoring territories and wondering where ever she pleases.)
-ignorance: she was raised in a very sheltered fashion. She does not know much about the world.
Beliefs- she is hesitant to believe that there is a “god”. Instead she prefers to rely on what she can actually see and feel.
Family- mother died during child birth. Amenti and her sister were raised by their father.
Personality- she tends to be happy for no apparent reason. It takes a lot to upset her.
For the most part she has grown accustom to solitude and enjoys it to a degree. She would like to have a friend or two though.
She is somewhat paranoid about being seen when she does not know she is being seen. Some nights she cannot even rest for the fear of the glowing eyes that are surely bearing down on her from somewhere. This quirk is probably a product of the fact that she tends to make a kill when the other creature does not even know she is targeting them. She fears becoming the hunted.
Due to her lack of a social upbringing, she does not really know how to behave around others. If faced with a stranger, she would be more likely to display submissive body language than to try and start a fight.
Overall, she is dependable and stable. If given a task, she will not rest until it is finished. Her mood is pretty much set in stone.
Fears-
Being powerless
Being caged
Being preyed upon
Fighting
Background- Amenti was born and raised in the Small Ruins in Nihil territory. Her birth occurred during the winter roughly 3 years ago. The litter consisted of 2 cubs (both female) and sadly resulted in the death of Amenti’s mother. Luckily, the younglings’ father was there and though normally tiger males prefer not to raise cubs, this one did. However, he was not able to produce milk (naturally). This resulted in Amenti and her sibling being forced to drink the blood of their father’s kill in place of their mother’s milk. Surprisingly, this was sufficient and the cubs managed to survive the winter.
Growing up, Amenti and her sister, Yuri, were given little affection. It was like being raised in the military. Their sire, Demor, was all but loving. He would never let any harm befall his children, but he never focused on anything but making sure they had the bare essentials necessary for survival. He tought them how to hunt and fend for themselves: though his lessons always seemed hurried, like he’d rather be anywhere else doing anything else.
By the time the cubs were 1 ½ years old, Demor left. He felt he had done all he could and now it was up to the sisters to fight for their survival.
Fight they did. After Demor left the two had to figure out which would be the boss and which the subordinate. Yuri claimed she should be the head because her coat was orange. “Orange is better than white,” she had claimed while puffing out her white chest. “It is the natural color of tigers.”
Amenti responded by growling and pouncing onto her sister. The two rolled about on the ground, a blur of white and orange. Fur flew. After a while of tussling Yuri managed to pin her white sister. Though Amenti struggled, she was unable to get up. This sealed her fate as the lesser of the two.
For a year the two moved and hunted as one. They survived as one. It was Amenti’s responsibility to track the prey, then the two set up an ambush. The system worked well. Amenti was pleased, but Yuri grew tired of the companionship. Just before their third winter together was to begin, Yuri left. Amenti was devastated at first, but told herself that all tigers prefer to be alone and she needed to get used to it.
Ever since she has been wandering and surviving alone.
