I'd love to see what sort of music everyone likes. And we can recommend music/artists for each other. Maybe there's a great band out there that fits my tastes, but I don't know about it yet!
I don't really know how to explain my musical preferences in a "genre" or in one word..
But I like songs that are vocally impressive, or have cool vocal effects. And I also sometimes like D&B (Drum and Bass) and the "good" kind of Dubstep.

I like most everything. Even some rap/country/classical/piano/whatever music is dissed on these days. These are some of my current favorites:

I pretty much like anything as long as it's good. But as for genres, I tend toward rock/pop-rock/techno/indie bands. Here's some faves;
This song is kind of weird. But I like the lyrics. And the sound makes my ears happy.
Mumford&sons <3
I really like the tune in the music break sections of this song. But the lyrics are meh.
...It's the jackalope. oyea.

Serynn:: I love the Final Fantasy X soundtrack. The "Besaid" song is by far my favorite on the record <3 And also, Cosmic Love, yesyesyesyesyes.
@gray:: HAY. If you like the sound of that Naked and Famous song, you should check out Passion Pit (they are better than Naked and Famous if you ask me >.>) The vocals are way similar.
And I love that Electric Feel song. I like that sort of high pitched weird voice thing XD
Miike Snow is way cool, but my favorite song on the record has got to be "In Search Of" <333 .... Or maybe Silvia. They're BOTH AWESOME.

I like this version better than the one by Limp Bizkit. Kinda explains me a bit.
This is my favorite for the Mana Khemia soundtracks. I think I like the piano songs the best, for some reason.
I like the game, too. Love the song more.
Saw this on another one of these threads. Never got it out of my head.
I think this is my favorite song ever, however. Prolly more because of memories than the song, though I like the beat as well.

Also, I grew up with Eiffel 65 too.

And tbh I don't know what almost all the bands you guys post are. I generally like a song or two from an artist. Exceptions are Aerosmith, Anberlin, Two Steps From Hell, Celldweller, and Akira Yamaoka. I like all their stuff, every damn song. xD Serynn's last song is like, Irish Badass though.
But a lot of it's too slow for my taste. I like fast, rock, metal, but I dislike it if I can't understand the majority of the lyrics. Oh, and dubstep, which I can never understand but just like.

EDIT:: You posted more! I do love me some Aerosmith :3 But it's not my favorite band... Probably wouldn't even make a top 50 list for me lol :S (Metallica would HAVE to be my number 1.. I grew up with them, just like you and Aerosmith :'D)
Serynn:: Now it's you're turn for me to hate everything LOL. The RDR and Mana Khemia songs aren't bad.. but not my favorites. I never was a big fan of The Who, and Sugarcult was one of those bands I listened to when I was like, and angsty 12 year old XD Sorta grew out of it.. I didn't even know they still made music??
And Flogging Molly :| .... I just don't like the sound of it :c Angry Irish men isn't really my style haha.

I love loads of music<3 I especially be a fan of Murray Gold's Doctor Who music, I find it exciting and it tells a story. I also love Rock, Punk, Metal<3 Not so much pop. LOL

I am alittle tarty to the party it seems but oh well!
