*Note: Akula has a Russian accent.*
The small brook made an almost enchanting noise as Akula knelt down to take a drink. Her and Sonya, her childhood friend, had been searching for a place to settle down. They were both fed up with being renegades, the nomad life just wasn't for them. At least, that's what Akula assumed. Sonya was rather shy and it took a bit for her to open up completely to a new person. On the other hand, Akula was social. She could strike a conversation up with someone anytime. Drinking the cool water she thought if there were any fish, she was quite hungry. Sitting up, Akula brought her gaze to the water and frowned, it was far to shallow to house any fish. Maybe farther downstream but she didn't feel like checking, but perhaps Sonya did. Looking to Sonya, she was about to ask but decided not to, maybe she'd ask later.
Laying down in the rough sand she sighed, they needed a break from walking badly and the only thing Akula was relatively good at catching was fish. Possibly, Sonya could catch something. Putting her head on the ground she looked over to Sonya. "Ve should get somezing to eat, Sonya. Is bad traveling on empty stomach," she said as her stomach growled. A bird flew over head and she wondered where it may be going. To be honest she hated birds, they always got in the way when she was flying. Standing up she shook the small bits of sand and dead grass from her coat and stretched her wings. It was a beautiful day, not many clouds, not to much wind, great for flying. But she couldn't fly, leaving her friends side could mean an accidental separation. Akula turned to the open forest where the trees swayed in the calm wind.
Besides the wind ruffling the trees and the occasional bird chirp, the forest was too quiet. Then again things were always to quiet according to Akula. She felt a tickle as a bug crawled up her leg and she looked down to see it. Frowning she flicked it off. "It's cold out here," she said, not quite sure if Sonya heard. Picking up a stick with her talons she started to make lines in the dirt. Despite being hungry, she was bored. Sonya looked deep in thought so talking to her would do no good. The cold weather felt good on her fur, hot weather was never her thing. Standing up she went back to the river.

Sonya lied down next to Akula in the shade of a large, grey boulder. As she closed her eyes she could sense the sunlight beaming down around her, poking through the dark, grey clouds. The brook was running, the trees singing as they rock back and forth from the humble wind. It's almost as if she felt the heartbeat of the land itself, going more steady every moment as the aspens and grasses were slowly and steadily reclaimed the land that was once theirs. The young cougar wondered what her friend was thinking. Certainly not what she was. Her friend seemed deep in thought, unlike herself, as Sonya was just enjoying the day. Akula always seemed tied up with more important things. Sonya's ears twitched as her acquaintance spoke. "Ve should get somezing to eat, Sonya. Is bad traveling on empty stomach," She stayed silent for a while, as if she was acknowledging every word Akula said. After what seemed like a minute, Sonya turned her head to her friend, without looking directly at her face, Sonya replied with a smirk, "Mhmm, and where do you suppose we get that food, Aku? Food doesn't fall from the sky." Just by seeing the look of the gryphon's face in the corner of her eyes, she knew her friend wanted her to go try and catch something. Oh well, Sonya thought to herself. I haven't done anything today. I should do us both a favor and do something. Sonya inhaled deeply as she raised herself from the ground and looked at her friend. She sighed out with a slight chuckle, "Fine, I'll get off my lazy ass. Lets see what we'll be having for dinner." The small feline walked over to the brook, she felt a chill down her spine as if her friend was watching her every step. She leaned over to look at the brook. Obviously no fish would be living here. "Lets go downstream," Sonya said in a voice that almost felt too loud. She walked more and more, making sure to keep her friend in sight. She kept her green eyes on the small river, finally finding some fish that seemed to be large enough for a meal for two. She crouched down as silently as possible, making sure to not get her shadow onto the water, as to not startle the fish. She readied a delicate, nimble, but muscled paw. "I might get this!" Sonya anticipated. She jabbed her paw into the icy water, and before she knew it, the fish were scrambled and gone. As if to mock her, her stomach growled. Sonya exhaled the breath she was holding from a few seconds a go, and dropped onto the lush grass. She growled, "God dammit. I'm no good at this. Our luck has been shit lately. Maybe it's the weather, I don't know." Sonya's glazed, dull eyes rolled over the landscape in front of her, on the other side of the brook. The grass was covered in dew and the breeze was pushing and pulling the plants of the East as if breathing deeply. She looked over to her friend, who she expected to be in the distance, but to her surprise was right next to her. She rolled her eyes once more and awaited the gryphon's response.

Akula closed her eyes for a second so they would stop hurting and then quickly bounded after Sonya to catch up. Yawning, she watched as the fish swam in the water and held back a giggle as her friend splashed her paw into the water and got nothing in return. "Luck has nozing to do vis it," she said trying not to sound like she was mocking Sonya. She also struggles at saying to, which comes out most of the time as more of an oo. Walking over closer to the water, and also making sure her shadow kept away from it, she frowned,"You also scared fish away. Now ve vill have sit and vait." After a few minutes no fish came down the river and she frowned, she was beginning to get to the point of being starving. "Sonya lets go downriver little bit, yes?" she said standing up,"More fish maybe!" Trotting past her friend she then slowed to a walk. Running will drain me of energy, what am I doing. She turned back to see if her friend was following, and she was. Akula kept her eyes on the river. Her eye caught something shiny in the water and she stopped herself. It was a fish, not to big though and they would have to find more but at least it was something. "Sonya!" she yelled, maybe a little too loud,"I found a fish," she added a little quieter.
Once her friend caught up with her she said, a little bit proudly,"Now, zis is how you catch fish!" Sneaking up to the water she made sure her shadow stayed out. Quietly she positioned herself to about where the fish would be when it heard the splash. After her prepping was done, she drove her paw into the water and snagged the fish just barely. Plopping it on the shore she looked to Sonya. "Do you vant it or should ve split it?" she said looking at the puny fish. This is in no way enough for the two of us, we need to find more, she thought. She hoped, with time, that more fish would show themselves. "Do you zink ve vill find home soon?" she said looking to Sonya,"Ve have been searching for so long, and I don't zink we can go on like zis for much longer." A cool breeze swept through the forest and ruffled Akulas fur. I wonder if Sonya is cold, I know she doesn't care for cold weather but I hope she doesn't get sick, she thought.
"Gonna be very cold soon, you vink?" Akula said sitting down. She personally wondered if it would snow this year. Always a fan of it, she liked to play in it and although snow was wet, she knew she wouldn't drown in it. Sighing she looked to the sky. More clouds had covered the sky but not enough to ensure rain or snow. Definitely not cold enough yet. She saw more shiny fish in the water but thought she'd try to teach Sonya how to catch fish. Then again, even after months of practice, Akula wasn't even that good. It probably was just luck that she got that last fish and soon she'd have to settle for different foods because the water would freeze. She decided to try anyways,"Sonya? Care to learn how to fish?"

Sonya was lost in her deep thoughts once again, until Akula's speech snapped her out of it. "Luck has nozing to do vis it,"
She felt like sighing, but held it back. Instead, Sonya exhaled more slowly to seem like she wasn't irritated. Her friend spoke again, "You also scared fish away. Now ve vill have sit and vait."
Sonya, again, said nothing. Instead she admired the beautiful scenery of succession. She was barely listening to her friend. She barely listened at all. Always had her head in the clou-- "Sonya lets go downriver little bit, yes?" UGH. She did not think the gryphon was annoying or irritating, it was just that she hated when her thoughts were interrupted. Sonya rolled her eyes, and saw everything from the sky to the sparkling grass. She would have liked to do it again, but saw already that her friend was heading downstream. She quickly caught up with her feathered friend, appreciating the sunshafts peeking through the clouds and the smell of rain coming on. Sonya noticed more rocks were appearing. Great for shade. Later, I guess. The wind was strengthening and was becoming colder along with the weather. It whistled through the trees. After walking for a short while, Akula spoke again. "Sonya!" Why so loud?"I found a fish,"
Sonya noticed she spoke quieter this time, as if noticing she was getting too excited. Sonya looked down into the clear river, and there, indeed, was a small, sparkling fish, its scales shining, revealing the small fish was a brilliant blue. Sonya looked at her friend and nodded slightly. "Now, zis is how you catch fish!"
The feline watched as her friend scooped the fish out of the water almost effortlessly and within no time at all. "Oh... wow," Sonya muttered, "you're pretty good. I've never watched you fish that closely before." Sonya promised herself she would pay more attention, as she was being very rude. "Do you vant it or should ve split it?"
Sonya looked back at the small, dark blue fish. It was small. Very, very small. She could eat it in one bite if she felt like it. Sonya smirked and looked at her friend, "You saving the big fish for someone else?" She knew she couldn't do better, but the fish was so small it was sort of hilarious how proud her friend seemed of it. "You can have it. I'm not that hungry," she added, smiling gently to the gryphon, as if saying sorry if she was offending. But Akula seemed already deep in thought, as if she had not heard her. Finally, she looked to Sonya. "Do you zink ve vill find home soon? Ve have been searching for so long, and I don't zink we can go on like zis for much longer."
Sonya's heart skipped a beat. It did whenever she thought about... that subject. Home."Erhm.. I'm sure we will. Soon." Sonya looked to the grass, and then back at Akula. She was looking at her as if assuming she was cold. Sonya answered, not caring whether that was what she was thinking or not, "No, I am not cold, thank you very much." But she was. On the inside. What if we never find... home? Sonya shook her head and snapped herself out of it. No! The more you think about it, the more it annoys you."Gonna be very cold soon, you vink?"
The cougar closed her eyes and nodded her head. She did not want to talk very much anymore, she was out of the mood, like almost all of the time. Sonya lay down with one paw under her chin. She closed her eyes. The air smelled even more like the rain, she loved it. She sighed, "We'll have to find shelter soon, unless you want to get soaked." Her eyes were still closed, when suddenly she heard her friend speak again. "Sonya? Care to learn how to fish?"
Sonya felt her face burn. She instantly opened her eyes and sat up, looking directly at her friend. In a sharp voice, she replied, "I know how to fish! I was just unlucky! Luck has everything to do with it!" She looked at Akula's face a while longer, before soothing her glowering expression and realizing her anger had gotten to her. She was always to rough. She lowered her gaze and eventually closed her eyes, "Sorry. I always get like this..." "Yes, I would like to learn how to fish, please." Sonya looked back at Akula, hoping not to have upset her. She smiled worriedly.

Akula flicked her ears back, offended at the sudden burst of rage. She knew her friend was subject to anger issues but normally she didn't get so upset at her. Giving a smile as her friend apologized she said,"Oh is alright. You know, you don't have learn how to fish if you don't vant. I zink we both are little on edge. Ve need shelter, as you said." Akula looked at the fish as if wanting her friend to have it instead, but then ate it. "I can fly around and see if zere are any caves or such in zis forest, yes?" Chuckling a bit to herself she realized she was probably annoying Sonya. Stretching her wings she said,"Besides you vould probably enjoy some quiet time." The sun was slowly setting, they had time to find a cave for shelter but not much time. Akula quickly looked around as if paranoid. As if about to say something she opened her mouth, but thought better of it. Don't want to annoy her anymore, she looks deep in thought anyways. She suddenly felt a slight pain. Not a hurting pain, but sadness. All they had been doing was searching for a home, and Akula had been sort of the navigator and positive one, always saying they'd find a home soon, but now she now realized that there was a possibility it would just be them forever. No home, no more friends, and no one to call family.
Akula got onto a thought that she hadn't let her mind drift to in a long while, religion. He is who she normally was curious about. But He was also who she blamed for most things. The death of her mother was the biggest issue. Before, she was religious. Her and her mom would pray together and worship, it was part of life. I really should stop thinking of this before I have a breakdown, she thought. Walking closer to the water she starred into it and sighed. Water was a scary thing. You could fall in and be pulled down by it and who knows what sort of fish lurk in deep water. A fish darted by and she tried to snatch it before it got away. She failed at it and instead of regaining balance, she slipped and splashed into the water, getting parts of her fur wet. She backed quickly away from the water and shivered as the world around her seemed much colder now.
"I-I'm stupid. Is so c-cold out here now," she stuttered shaking her coat off, being careful not to get water on Sonya. "Night vill b-be here soon," she said with a frown and walked over to Sonya. Now she was at a loss of words and their luck was getting worse by the second. First, they lost the fish that would keep them full, they had no where to stay for the night, and now because of her stupidity she was freezing. I hope I can fly like this she though laying down to try and get dry. The wind seemed to be picking up.

Being angry just makes me more angry, Sonya thought, her rage finally bubbling down. She took deep breaths, like she always does. The clouds were at their darkest and on the brink of releasing a downpour. It was like she could feel the rain already. She closed her eyes and inhaled deeply, then felt pricks everywhere on her. She slowly opened her eyes and shook her head, only to be welcomed to a gray blur of a landscape. It was sprinkling already. "Oh is alright. You know, you don't have learn how to fish if you don't vant. I zink we both are little on edge. Ve need shelter, as you said."
Sonya looked up to her friend, "Uhm... yeah. Sorry about that. I hate myself for those kinds of outbursts..." she breathed as she continued, "...Yes. Sorry. You can teach me how to fish tomorrow! Really. I would love it." She looked down as she realized she was acting strange. Sonya let Akula eat the fish, and after a while watched her try and swat after another. She heard Akula say something as she was clearing her mind, but did not really listen. She assumed the info her acquaintance had spoken was not that important. The cougar again got lost in her thoughts and assumed her famous dreamy look. A large, obnoxious splash had soaked her side slightly and make her turn her head. Akula had fallen into the brook and was coming out. She muttered some words as she crawled out, shivering, "I-I'm stupid. Is so c-cold out here now, and night vill b-be here soon,"
She watched the almost helpless looking gryphon walk up next to her and lay down. It was almost completely sundown. Sonya lied down next to Akula for a minute. She sighed, "You know, it would be great to have wings like you right now. They'd be able to keep us both dry." After what felt like a moderate amount of time, her friend felt dryer now. Sonya arose. "Let's go find some shelter. Don't worry, I'll be your eyes. Just follow my scent, bodyheat, feel, whatever you gryphons do. Just follow. Also, don't worry about me, I am really enjoying the air conditioning," she hummed. So the two went, into the forest, by the brook, around the boulders. Eventually they found a tiny ravine. There were small, rolling hills on each side. One was steep, and had a fairly dwarfish hole that seemed to have housed another creature, by the scent of it. The odor was stale, though, and whatever had previously lived here had obviously moved elsewhere. Sonya used a lighter boulder to close up the small entrance, so that her and her friend's body heat would be more contained, and less wind would flow in. It was nice, really. Sonya actually liked it. But by now her eyelids felt heavy, and she plopped down without saying a word, except for muttering a small, barely hearable, "Goodnight."

Akula woke up after a long night of barely any rest. It may have been warm in the little hole, but it was a bit cramped. She stood up and hit her head on the ceiling. "Ouch," she muttered, crawling forward to the entrance. Being careful not to step on her sleeping friend, she pushed the bolder forward. Morning sunlight pored into the cave-like hole. Her friend seemed to still be asleep even with the loudness of the bolder being pushed aside and the almost blinding light. It's good she's getting rest, I suppose, Akula thought,Perhaps she will be less grouchy. Walking out of the cave she looked around. A nice cool breeze and some clouds. It also seemed like a light drizzle had occurred, making the air seem fresher. Akula carefully walked out of the small ravine and then, once in an open area, she stretched. Looking back into the hole, as if she thought her friend would be gone, she was happy to see that Sonya was sleeping soundly. Sitting down a sudden feeling of boredom struck her. Sonya wasn't up, and if Akula stayed close she wouldn't get to lost while flying. Backing up she spread her wings. She had to get momentum first, so she started to run forward. She jumped and then started to flap her wings. Finally airborne, she soared through the air. She really did miss flying.
The air ruffled her fur as she flew in circles above the trees. Back at their old home she could fly all the time and not worry about getting lost. Now, she had to worry about getting lost or her friend getting lost looking for her. Akula reminded herself to look down to the ravine where Sonya would be if she were awake every few minutes. Then a thought struck Akula. What if they were trespassing in territory? Overall that wasn't that bad, but what if the owners of this territory didn't take to kindly to strangers? She would have to speak to Sonya about this. The strange thing was, Akula didn't notice any scent markings or warnings. I'm just being paranoid, she thought. Deciding it was probably time to land she went to a clearing and softly landed.
She decided to check on Sonya again. Walking carefully into the ravine she looked into the hole. Still sleeping? Akula thought How much can one sleep.. its been nearly 2 hours since I got up. Shaking her head she bounded out into the clearing and laid down under a tree. Closing her eyes she felt very relaxed. The cool breeze and serene surroundings reminded her of her childhood. Letting her mind drift she started to daydream that her and Sonya found a home. This was one of her greatest dreams, though. She soon drifted into sleep again.

[bg=669933][atrb=width,500,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=border,0,true]Sonya was woken up by the rather cool breeze blowing through into the small cavern. The boulder was moved out of the way. Akula was gone. Frantically Sonya looked around the hole. She saw her friend's paw prints on the ground, and looked out of the hole to see more clearly, a silhouette of her friend resting under a tree. Whew. Sonya yawned and stretched, being careful to not hit her head on the rather low ceiling. She saw a small indent in the ceiling where Akula would have hit her head. Sonya chuckled a bit at how clumsy the gryphon seemed these days. Sonya crawled out of the hole and into the sunlight. Weather was the same as yesterday. Cloudy, with a bit of sun. Wind wasn't too cold or harsh, but Sonya instantly felt that it would pick up gradually by the end the of day. ...We might have to sleep in the same place tonight. Not wanting anybody to intrude their sleeping hideout, Sonya carefully placed the boulder back. She covered it with a little dirt. Not bad. Yawning again, Sonya made her way over to her friend. She was quite a light sleeper compared to Sonya, and Sonya assumed just a slight nudge would get her off the sleep train. The trees rustled, as if trying to remind Sonya to do something. Of course! I could get us some food. The young cougar may not be the best at fishing, but she thought of herself as not a bad hunter at all. She went out into the forest, hoping to catch a mouse or two. She ventured, hoping to get back to the aspen her friend was sleeping under before she woke up. Getting back from the trip after about an hour and a half, Sonya proudly trotted back with three mice and a squirrel hanging from her mouth. She though this was great, as prey population in sight was slowly dwindling as the winter came on. She got back to her friend, still soundly sleeping at the base of the trunk. The weather had even seemed to get warmer. This made Sonya even more joyful. Sonya dropped the squirrel and a mouse next to the gryphon's head, and took the other two mice for herself. As Sonya lied down next to Akula, she slowly nudged her head a bit with her tail. A smile crept across her face as Sonya greeted, "Ready for breakfast?"

T U ' V A CVIRIUN | MAJORThey never noticed him. The fools. He had been hiding in the shadows of the forest, watching their every move. He followed the other cougar when she hunted and followed her back to the gryphon. Oh, he knew that they had as much Kinir in them as he did, but that wasn't the point. He didn't come to this blasted territory to slay the entire enemy schism. No, that was foolish. He was just here for a bit of fun. And it seems he found it. But now he was bored. He was waiting for the creatures to eventually notice his presence, but it seems they were a bit oblivious to him. It had been hours by now. And just following them wasn't enough anymore. So he spoke. "Hello, ladies. Whatever are you two doing here?" [/b] Tu padded out of the shadows of the aspens. It was time they knew what they were dealing with. "Didn't you know that this land is filled with vicious savages? They want for female flesh, you know. And not just for eating." He tilted his head and gave them a smile he perfected, letting his words sink into their bones. It wasn't the semi-insane smile he usually wore. Right now he seemed almost normal. Almost. But something was certainly... off. "If you want, ladies, I can feed you. Perhaps even give you some shelter. But there's no way I can let you gentle creatures stay in the wilds like you are now."[/b] He pretended to flick off a leaf on his back. In reality, he just needed a moment to let his smile relax. It was taxing, trying to be normal. "I don't want your eventual deaths on my conscious."[/b] [/center]

Ready for breakfast?
Awaken by the sudden sound of a voice, she was pulled out of her almost pleasant dream. Dreams these days were never pleasant her in mind, despite her cheery spirit and positivity. It was just, that dream. Over and over. It would be gone for a month and then haunt her once again. Shaking her head she finally relied,"Yes, I zink I-" Hello, ladies. Whatever are you two doing here?
Akula jumped a bit and looked around. Her eyes eventually fell on a cougar that was lurking out of the shadows. She was going to speak, but then the cougar spoke again. Didn't you know that this land is filled with vicious savages? They want for female flesh, you know. And not just for eating.
These words made her fur prick up. She'd never thought of it, really. The dangers of the forest. To add to it all, that smile. There was something chilling about it. Trying to seem polite she smiled as sort of a hello. I knew we were trespassing, this was stupid we should of never entered this forest! she thought. Akula wasn't afraid, but more of worried. It wasn't time to be scared. Not yet anyway. If you want, ladies, I can feed you. Perhaps even give you some shelter. But there's no way I can let you gentle creatures stay in the wilds like you are now.
The Cougar seemed nice enough.. and maybe they weren't trespassing. She probably just had a bad first impression. Akula was a bit too trusting though. Looking to Sonya she walked in front of her, as if protecting her. I don't want your eventual deaths on my conscious.
At last Akula spoke,"Okay. The shelter ve had last night vas bit.. cramped." Looking to the food Sonya caught made her stomach growl, despite it being a squirrel. She despised the taste of squirrel. The mouse though did look good. Perhaps this cougar could find something more.. appetizing. Looking to Sonya she wondered what was going through her mind. Turning her head to the stranger she said "Oh, I apologize.. My name is Akula. Zis is Sonya," she flicked the tip of her tail to Sonya, but who else would she be talking about? "If you don't mind me asking, Vhat is your name?"

[bg=669933][atrb=width,350,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=border,0,true]Sonya instantly turned to the voice from her left.
"Hello, ladies. Whatever are you two doing here?"
All she did was chuckle. "You're good," she stated, "couldn't even hear you coming." Her friend, Akula, seemed quite worried and regretful. Sonya looked back to the cougar standing a few tails away. He looked almost identical to herself, except more roughed up and with yellow eyes. He seemed very sly, almost as if he wanted something from them. He spoke again.
"Didn't you know that this land is filled with vicious savages? They want for female flesh, you know. And not just for eating."
"Yes, mhmm, and yeppers. Which is almost exactly why we're here. I mean, who doesn't want a little adventure here and there?" Sonya usually shied away from situations like these, but she likes to have fun once in a while. Plus, she felt safer with her friend nearby. But then the stranger spoke again, and it actually caught her dead in her tracks.
"If you want, ladies, I can feed you. Perhaps even give you some shelter. But there's no way I can let you gentle creatures stay in the wilds like you are now. I don't want your eventual deaths on my conscious."
Tempting. Either he's bullshitting or actually wants to help. "Alright. And where would this so called shelter be if we agreed to follow? Additionally, me and my friend here are not planning to die anytime soon. I guess we haven't seen the worst of it, hmm?" Sonya looked back to her friend, who was positioning herself in front of her, as if to act as a shield. Her friend spoke.
"Oh, I apologize.. My name is Akula. Zis is Sonya, and if you don't mind me asking, Vhat is your name?"
Sonya looked back at the cougar, dropping to a vulnerable, relaxed, sitting position. She smirked as she gave a questioning glare. She tipped her head back as if pointing to him, "Well? Go ahead, introduce yourself."

T U ' V A CVIRIUN | MAJOR"Okay. The shelter ve had last night vas bit... cramped." [/s][/color] Tu nodded, and a smile played on his lips. "Oh, I apologize.. My name is Akula. Zis is Sonya,"[/s][/color] Tu'Vac bowed his head respectfully at each female in turn. He was always about the manners. "You're good. Couldn't even hear you coming."[/s] Tu'Vac gave a small chuckle. Yes, he was indeed silent. He was surprised that the two females weren't more afraid of their shortcoming, but shrugged that off. It wasn't really a big deal... unless they had a third member on lookout? Tu's naturally paranoid side began to come out then. "Alright. And where would this so called shelter be if we agreed to follow? Additionally, me and my friend here are not planning to die anytime soon. I guess we haven't seen the worst of it, hmm?"[/i][/s] Tu turned his mind back to the other cougar. No need for fear now. "Oh, no, miss Sonya. You haven't seen the worst at all. These aspens are the pretty part of their territory, and even they don't offer much shelter in storms. You will not die if we stick together. They fear my pride... everyone does."[/b] It was only a half-truth, but close enough to keep Tu'Vac from feeling like a liar. He looked behind him, swearing he heard something. -Ahh... probably nothing.-"If you don't mind me asking, Vhat is your name?" "Well? Go ahead, introduce yourself."[/i] Tu'Vac gave a small laugh as the questions came pouring out. Who knew he'd become so popular? "Oh, my name? It's just Tu'Vac... you can call me Tu, if you wish."[/b] He gave a wink to the cougaress. "Now, do you two ladies wish to come with me, to my pride's home? There are ruins of a lost civilization there... and, as good hosts, we'll bring you all the food you need."[/b] [/center]

"Tu'Vac? Vhat fancy name," Akula said with a smile," If you don't mind me asking, vho's territory have ve stumbled upon?" Stepping back to stand next to Sonya she added,"I apologize, Tu, for all the questions that is. We haven't seen another creature besides some prey for a long while. What is your pride like? And, the other prides around here, what about them?" She thought for a moment and then realized she'd probably gotten a bit to far ahead of herself. She was always one to ask a lot of questions and not answer others. "I have no problems going vith you, food and shelter do sound good now. But zis all seems bit good to be true," Akula said, a bit regretfully. As to make sure she didn't offend him she said,"I mean.. Our luck has been shit lately. Ve really appreciate your hospitality."
I really shouldn't be so trusting, I mean, this could very well be a trap, she contemplated,What the hell, it's better than dying out here in the forest. Sitting down she looked at Tu'Vac. He looked sort of cunning, but what feline didn't have some cunningness to them? Your just being paranoid, she told herself. Looking over to Sonya she whispered,"Should ve trust him?" Akula hoped Tu'Vac didn't hear her but it didn't matter if he did. The forest seemed quiet and she wondered if someone else was watching from the shadows. Tu'Vac could have been watching ever since they got into the forest and they didn't even notice. Then she wondered, maybe they could join this Tu'Vacs pride. There are probably requirements, she thought, Requirements that me and Sonya probably don't meet.
Akula contemplated a bit if she really did want to go with Tu'Vac. It would be an adventure, she loved adventures. But what if Sonya said no? She couldn't just leave her here. She wouldn't say no, Akula reassured herself. The breeze blew quietly threw the forest, but it seemed extra cold this morning. It was probably just Akula's imagination, or just the morning air was always cooler. She sighed. Hating hard decisions she just decided she would go whether or not Sonya went or not. It would be stupid to refuse.

[bg=669933][atrb=width,350,true][atrb=cellpadding,0,true][atrb=border,0,true]Sonya perked her ears as the other cougar addressed her.
"Oh, no, miss Sonya. You haven't seen the worst at all. These aspens are the pretty part of their territory, and even they don't offer much shelter in storms. You will not die if we stick together. They fear my pride... everyone does."
"Hmm," Sonya considered, "it would be nice to be feared. I guess." Sonya saw the cougar turn his head, as if he felt something was behind him. He shrugged it off, and returned his amber gaze to the two of them.
"Oh, my name? It's just Tu'Vac... you can call me Tu, if you wish. Now, do you two ladies wish to come with me, to my pride's home? There are ruins of a lost civilization there... and, as good hosts, we'll bring you all the food you need."
Sonya glanced at her friend and back, "Alright. We'll come with you. As long as Akula is okay with it." Sonya glanced once more at the gryphon. "it's not like we have anything to lose, right?"
"If you don't mind me asking, vho's territory have ve stumbled upon? I apologize, Tu, for all the questions that is. We haven't seen another creature besides some prey for a long while. What is your pride like? And, the other prides around here, what about them?"
Sonya nodded, "Yes, I would like to know more about them. We could talk about them on the way, perhaps?" Sonya started to pull herself up from her sit, shaking her body so it would be free from the dew forming on the grass and plants around the area. She started looking around casually, but almost eager to go.

T U ' V A CVIRIUN | MAJOR"Tu'Vac? Vhat fancy name. If you don't mind me asking, vho's territory have ve stumbled upon?" [/i][/s] Tu flicked his tail at the comment about his name. He was used to that. Ever since he picked out his name himself, he knew it would cause people to wonder about his history. That's why he picked it. "This is the Kinir's territory. They are known for their brutality... in fact, I've heard that they have to maim their mentor to be considered an adult. 'Tis just a rumor, however."[/b] His smile faded slightly, only to once again cross his features. "It would be nice to be feared. I guess."[/i][/s] Tu decided not to reply to this, instead deciding to let the idea mill around in the females head. Power is fun, indeed. "I apologize, Tu, for all the questions that is. We haven't seen another creature besides some prey for a long while."[/i][/s] Tu blinked up at the gryphess. "'Tis no problem at all. I've been lonely myself, wandering around the Kinir lands. I was sent to gather intelligence on... well..."[/b] He decided to save that juicy little tidbit to his story for later. Maybe once they were on their way to his home. "What is your pride like? And, the other prides around here, what about them?"[/i][/s] Tu'Vac sat down, realizing that this might take a while. "Well... long ago, we were once one group. The Viriun, my pride, are the only ones with honor now, and are the only ones that won't be Damned. The others just couldn't see that. They didn't see a higher power, so they couldn't respect a higher power... but us Viriun know that seeing isn't always believing. They keep calling us extremists, when really, we're just trying to do what 's best for this world."[/b] He let his words trail off as his face grew sad. Once again, they could save that story for later. "I have no problems going vith you, food and shelter do sound good now. But zis all seems bit good to be true."[/s][/i] Tu'Vac stood at this, his charming smile never disappearing. "Oh, I can imagine. I thought the same when our leader told me of his group. But... well, here I am."[/b] His amber eyes blinked happily in an attempt to reassure the gryphess. "Alright. We'll come with you. As long as Akula is okay with it. It's not like we have anything to lose, right?"[/i][/s] "No, nothing at all. Just a few hours of traveling is all it would take. I'd like it to be shorter, but the territories are vast in this region."[/b] He stood up with the other cougar, looking her over as he did so. -Hmm. This could indeed get interesting.-[/i] [/center]
